Walter Lyon Blease a lecturer in Law and committed pacifist refused to enlist, & therefore, was forced to become a ‘gentleman orderly’ for the Red Cross in Serbia. He kept a number of poignant relics from this time including a ribbon from a Bolshevik sailor from the Kronstadt Fleet in 1916.
