Liverpool Dockers enrolled as a battalion under the command of Lord Derby! This is the ingenious scheme which Lord Kitchener and James Sexton the dockers’ Secretary have hatched in order to bring the dockers under discipline. Well I fancy it will prove a warning signal to the Trades Unionists generally. [Glasier Papers GP/2/1/22]
